From an early age Matt has had a passion for video games. Matt has knowledge of all platforms from the ZX Spectrum to the PlayStation 3 and has lent this knowledge to countless television programmes, magazines and corporate events.
Matt's credits include producer/director for Gamezville on Sky One, series producer for PXG on Jetix, associate producer for the BAFTA Video Game Awards and event and content producer for EA's Be The One gaming event as part of the London Games Festival 2008 in Trafalgar Square, Dragon Age Origins global competition at County Hall in 2009 and EA's EU Showcase in 2010.
Matt currently writes and presents a weekly podcast at www.gamesweasel.com.
In May 2010 Matt produced the content for EA's showcase event for European and UK press. Matt produced, organised and showcalled the morning presentations and also oversaw directing and editing promo videos for each of the titles on display.
Dragon Age Origins: Wardens' Quest
In October 2009 Matt produced a 24-hour gaming event. Ten teams from around the world gathered to play the fantasy role-playing game Dragon Age Origins. Matt organised the global event and produced and directed 7 live shows throughout the 24 hour period coniststing of an intro show, elimination rounds and a winner's finale. The events in London's County Hall were streamed live online at www.wardensquest.com.
GamesWeasel Podcast
Matt is still writing and presenting the weekly video games podcast at www.gamesweasel.com. The podcast features news, reviews, competitions and special features and has been running for almost three years. It regularly enters the top ten of the iTunes gaming chart and its YouTube channel is currently number 65 in the all-time mist subscribed chart ahead of the likes of E4, NME TV and CNN.
London Games Festival 2008
In October 2008, Matt was asked to produce a two day stage event in Trafalgar Square featuring gaming challenges, celebrity appearances and music performances from Natasha Bedingfield, McFly and Kelly Rowland amongst others. Matt was responsible for producing the content, writing the scripts and running orders and working with the on-stage talent. On the day, Matt co-ordinated the stage events and liaised with T4's crew to make sure everything ran smoothly.
