Since graduating from Bournemouth University in 1998, Matt has taken on many roles in television production. Multi-skilled and with an infectious personality, he is equally at home as part of, or heading up a production team. Matt also has a warm persona in front of camera and has hundreds of hours of presenting experience recorded and live in the studio, and on location.

Matt is currently producing content for kids' channel Jetix, writing and presenting the weekly podcast www.gamesweasel.com and has just produced Electronic Arts' 'Be The One' live gaming event as part of the London Games Festival 2008.

 

 

Presenting Showreel 2008

               

Matt is an experienced presenter in the studio and on location. This showreel highlights recent work on video games magazine programme 'Gamers', shopping channel QVC , Channel 4's Videogame BAFTAS and Sky One daytime show 'Gamezville'.

 

British Academy Video Games Awards - E4 and Channel 4

In September 2006, Matt was part of the team commissioned to make the first televised BAFTA awards ceremony to celebrate the video games industry. Matt produced 8 VT inserts from the show and the backstage interviews.



PXG Series 1 and 2 - Jetix

PXG aired in 2005 and was a Japanese-themed video games show for kids. Featuring the mad-cap antics of Kentaro, its unique 'Banzai' theme, game reviews, cheats and jokes made it a first for UK video game enthusiasts. Matt was Associate Producer on the show. PXG also had a second series airing between September and December 2007. Matt was Series Producer on the show.



Gamesweasel

Gamesweasel is a weekly video games podcast available from www.gamesweasel.com or iTunes. Matt currently researches, writes, produces, edits features and presents the show from the studios in Old Street. The show is available in audio and HD video formats and is attracting sponsors and advertisers.

Gamezville Series 1 and 2 - Sky One

Gamezville was Sky One's flagship daytime show for teenagers in 2003 and 2004. Matt was producer/director and a presenter on the hour long show full of gaming challenges, reviews, news, previews and hints and tips from the ever-weird Games Guru.



Gamers - Rapture TV

Matt was one of the original members of Gamers when it first aired in 1999. It aired on Rapture TV and also regionally on ITV1 Saturday mornings. In 2006 Gamers came back in a new form with Matt and Kate Heavenor fronting the show, with a large following of avid gaming fans.


Big Game TV

Between Summer 2005 and Spring 2007, Matt produced and presented on quiz channel Big Game TV. The show had its own channel on Sky 849 and also simulcasted on ITV2 and ITV3.

 
Beauty and the Builder - Living TV and Bravo (Pilot - Shine Ltd)

This short taster tape was recorded at Melinda Messenger's house in Swindon. Matt produced, directed, and recorded vision and sound solo. The feature was then edited by Matt on Avid.
